The Fitting Process

 

Step1- Ear Inspection

The ear is inspected with an otoscope to make sure there are no contra indications to the fitting process such as infection or excessive wax.

 

Step 2 - Ear Preparation

A cotton or foam block is placed in the ear canal at an appropriate depth.

 

Step 3 - Fitting Process

The Insta-Mold silicone is placed into a silicone syringe, injected into the ear canal, and molded to the outside of the ear.  The cured silicone mold is removed in about 6-8 minutes, finishing the fitting process.

 

Step 4 - Earplug Finishing

The earplug is trimmed to the appropriate length and buffed to remove rough edges. Each plug is sealed with our Clear-Seal Silicone coating to provide a longer lasting, cleaner and more precise fitting ear protector.

 

Step 5 - Ear Plug delivery and Employee Use & Care Training

Each person is trained to properly insert, remove, and care for their custom molded earplugs.  Each set is delivered in a storage pouch with printed use & care instructions.
